Ultralight Seamless Thermoform Crown for Optimized Performance

The ultra-lightweight Seamless Thermoform crown on the GT2 and GT3 is made from the innovative Proprietary Matrix Polymer, the same material used in GT drivers. This material is approximately five times lighter than steel, allowing Titleist engineers to achieve significant weight savings over previous generations of fairway crowns. While maintaining Titleist’s classic sound and feel, the crown is completely seamless, contributing to an aesthetically pleasing appearance at address without compromising the performance gains of the GT’s multi-material construction.

Tour-inspired Design

The GT2 and GT3 fairways have undergone significant shape improvements. Titleist engineers have flattened the sole's curvature from heel to toe, making the head appear lower. Toe and heel strikes now occur higher on the face, increasing forgiveness. Based on feedback from Tour players, the GT3 has been given a higher face, differentiating the two models and catering to a wider range of player preferences.

Low Center of Gravity for Better Performance

The extra mass gained from the lightweight Seamless Thermoform crown has allowed Titleist engineers to reposition the center of gravity in each model for optimal performance. The GT2 has a lower, more forward center of gravity, resulting in a higher launch angle and lower spin compared to its predecessor, the TSR2. The GT3's center of gravity is moved deeper to allow for a higher launch angle while keeping spin at a low but playable level.

Forged L-Cup Face for Improved Face Performance

The clubface on GT fairways is specifically designed to improve performance on low-face hits. A new insert wraps around the bottom of the club to preserve ball speed, reduce excessive spin and improve sound and feel. These features make GT models an excellent choice for golfers looking to maximize their performance and forgiveness on the course.
