Ultralight Seamless Thermoform Crown

The ultra-lightweight Seamless Thermoform crown on the GT2 and GT3 is made from the innovative Proprietary Matrix Polymer, the same material used in GT drivers. This material is approximately five times lighter than steel, allowing Titleist engineers to achieve significant weight savings over previous generations of fairway crowns while maintaining the classic sound and feel that Titleist is known for. The seamless design provides an aesthetically pleasing appearance at address without compromising the performance gains offered by GT’s multi-material construction. To address different center of gravity targets between the models, the GT2 uses more Proprietary Matrix Polymer than the GT3. The GT3 also includes a SureFit Adjustable CG Track System, which allows the weight in a track to be adjusted to suit the player’s shot.

Tour-inspired Design

The GT2 and GT3 fairways have undergone significant shape improvements. Titleist engineers have flattened the sole curvature from heel to toe for both models, resulting in a lower clubhead impression. Toe and heel hits now occur higher up the face, increasing forgiveness. Based on feedback from Tour players, the GT3 has been given a higher face, differentiating the two models and catering to a wider range of player preferences.

Low Center of Gravity for Optimal Performance

The added mass from the lightweight Seamless Thermoform crown has allowed Titleist engineers to reposition the center of gravity in each model to achieve the best possible performance. The GT2 has a lower and more forward center of gravity, resulting in a higher launch angle and lower spin compared to its predecessor, the TSR2. In the GT3, the center of gravity has been moved deeper to allow for a higher launch angle while keeping spin at a low but playable level.

Forged L-Cup Face for Improved Performance

The clubface on GT fairways is specifically designed to improve performance on low-face hits. A new insert that wraps around the bottom of the club preserves ball speed, reduces excessive spin and improves sound and feel, making GT models an excellent choice for golfers looking to maximize their performance.
